Even though America is nearly 40 times larger than the UK, I have to admit that I think the contestants on Britain’s Got Talent are superior to those that are on America’s Got Talent. If you just think about it, Susan Boyle (who didn’t even win last year) is known worldwide, yet the most successful America’s Got Talent contestant, Terry Fator, is basically only famous in Las Vegas. Here’s a few more videos that help prove my point.
Week 1 – Auditions
13 year-old Kieran Gaffney playing the drums. At first, he performs with his parents who fail miserably. Then he ditches them and WOWs everybody with his amazing drumming skills.

Week 3 – Auditions
Best friends Chantelle and Ruth come on as a duo named Different Dreams and sing “I Know Him So Well” by Whitney Houston/Elaine Paige. Chantelle can sing pretty well but Ruth gets too nervous at first and when she finally does sing, it’s a complete failure. The judges tell Chantelle to ditch her friend and re-sing the song, which she ends up doing. However, the judges final decision will surprise you.

Connected, a band of 5 boys aged 13-15, perform a great version of “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys. Simon, upset that they were singing a song by an irrelevant band from 15-16 years ago (it’s actually 12), allows them to sing another song. They chose to sing “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, which ended up being even more amazing than their first performance.

Although most kids fail by singing songs that are too big for their small body, 14 year-old Olivia Archbold blew everybody away with her version of “In the Arms of an Angel” by Sarah McLachlan.

Week 4 – Auditions
It looks like great singing runs in the Boyle family. Watch Susan Boyle’s second cousin, Kerry-Anne Boyle, do an “incredibly good performance” of Sting’s “Fields of Gold”.

I believe the best way to live a long time is to always have something to look forward to, which is why I love this next act. 80 year-old Janey Cutler still has a dream to become a professional singer and after this performance, it looks like there may be a good chance of that happening.

Myztikal, a hip hop dancing and singing act, has an unbelievable start but then nerves to get to one of the singers toward the end and ruins an almost perfect performance. What part will the judges focus on when making their decision?

When you first look at them, you don’t know what these 7 guys dressed up as the grim reaper are going to do. They’re called the Chippendoubles, so you can figure out they may be taking off their clothes, but what’s hidden underneath will surprise you.
